Description

This is an entry to the contest "Design Your Own Mental Patient" (or whatever the exact title is >_>). Here's Eldon again. He fit the bill perfectly, so I decided to use him. Here's the info needed for the contest:

Full name: Eldon Unwin
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/Race: English-American
Age/DOB- 32 yrs; ??/??/1978
Hair- Platinum Blond
Eyes- Blue
Height- 6’ 0”
Weight- 190 lbs
Blood type- AB+
Physical deformities/modifications- Pierced ears

Mental disorder- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder leading to Unwanted Thought Syndrome and Obsessive Object Attachment. Possible extreme case of bipolar tendencies in specific cases.
List of symptoms: Main symptom: Obsessive attachment to a specific object; a crowbar. Need to keep crowbar in hand at all times. Patient becomes extremely violent and completely unreasonable when the crowbar is removed; symptoms are similar to a methadone or heroine high in terms of resistance to any physical pain. Bites and scratches himself when not restrained. At all conscious hours, patient will scream, shout, beg, and mutter for the return of his crowbar. The demands for its return commonly turn to detailed/gruesome personal threats the doctors and orderlies.
Previous history: In every session in attempt to gain knowledge of patient’s history, patient, when crowbar is present, will reside to small talk to avoid answering any questions and, when pushed, will remain completely silent. Even when administered truth serum, patient still does not divulge any information about his past. Without crowbar, there is no talking or questioning with the patient; his only words are of threats, insults, and the repeated phrase “Give it Back,” which is repeated with or without anyone else present in his room.
Criminal history: Charged for 4 counts of manslaughter, 4 counts of Cruel and Unusual Punishment, and 28 counts of Assault and Battery (all trials resulted in innocence in the case of insanity).
Personality- Very split between two modes pointing towards an acute case of Bipolar Disorder: with crowbar and without. When crowbar is absent, patient has resulted to trying to cause as much destruction to himself and others as he can. He bites and scratches himself. At first, a straitjacket was used, but the patient chewed through the material within an hour and ambushed an orderly that was scheduled to check on him, beating the orderly to death and severely injuring several others. We had to shackle his hands behind his back and his feet were chained to the wall so he couldn’t cause any more harm to himself or others. With the crowbar in his possession, the patient is calm, almost normal; helpful, even. When he talks, however, his speech is full of morbid and gruesome imagery. This and his seeming need to stand close to others and place his hands on their shoulders and faces points to UTS (Unwanted Thought Syndrome) and OCD tendencies. Patient is safe to encounter until he feels that the procurement of his crowbar or an accidental/absent-minded touch to the object is imminent or proceeded upon. In this case, patient will become extremely violent and will proceed to beat the victims about the head/face and chest with the crowbar with absolutely no restraint, reprieve, or regret once the moment has passed. Oddly enough, unlike most cases of OCD, UTS, or usual violent disorders, patient has no sexual mental deformities. Sexuality is absent in the patient’s harmful psychosis. When questioned about this, patient seems to have no unusual urges or thoughts about sexual activities involving himself and/or others. Also, when he inflicts harm upon himself, he avoids damage to his genitalia, perhaps pointing to a sexual/gender anonymity or androgyny in the patient’s mind."
